Objective/purpose of the facilitation services:
To strengthen the capacities of 8 women self-help groups under RDPP Funded livelihoods project by delivering and facilitating a 1-day training on Food compliance and Hygiene standards for Jordanian and Syrian women. The Hygiene Trainer will be responsible to provide theoretical and practical support to women SHG whom selected by LWF, and the classes will be mixed of Youth and Adults (18+ years old), Jordanian and Syrian Women.
Job Summary
The objective of Hygiene training is to provide hygiene and food certification standards: teach products safety, hygienic handling, packing and storing, quality check, factors that affect products and safe working practices through theoretical and practical sessions.
Trainer main duties and responsibilities will be:
Raise awareness about Ministry of Health’s and municipality’s standards
Recognize & comply safe working practices
Explain various types of packaging material
Maintain perfect hygienic standards
Check the quality of products and machines/ tools
Safety and hygienic storing mechanism and tools for food products.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct theoretical and practical sessions on hygiene and food compliance standards
· Inform about the Ministry of Health’s and municipality’s standards
· Explain various types of packaging material
· Determine food quality tests
· Demonstrate waste utilization and explain food safety standards.
· Perform different cleaning and sanitizing process by using the appropriate chemicals with safety precautions
· Conduct training sessions on effective timeframe and topics
· Develop modules, activities and materials for effective training
· Provide meaningful feedback post the completion
· Complete the training programme on time
· Acclimatise the candidates for the real world job expectations
· Relates professional/life/industry experience to learning by the continuation of professional/technical skills development, the introduction of industry perspective into courses, and the active awareness of professional/industry trends and opportunities.
· Maintain a safe and effective teaching / learning environment during the sessions and report any incident to LWF Livelihood staff.
· Consistently keep a record of attendance and participation of trainees and track repetitive absence to report it to LWF Livelihood staff.
· Provide finale report to measure progress, identify barriers to learning and recommend action to overcome barriers and scheduled detailed work plan to the Livelihood staff.
Requirements
· Experience in working with group of trainees, Minimum of 4 years practical experience teaching.
· Demonstrate understanding of working with vulnerable trainees, ability to respect the participants’ culture and beliefs and the ability to treat them all equally
· Personal capabilities: Team work, flexibility, integrity, conflict resolution capabilities.
· Arabic (Native)
Essential Skills
o Certificate Course/Diploma in Hygiene or related field
o At least 5 years of experience in Food Production or related field
o Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
