Job Description and Requirements
Scope of work
- Solicit price quotations from various suppliers as needed, keep track of purchase orders and requisitions and follow the procurement policies of LWF and donor regulations.
- Provide logistical support to the LWF office in Amman which includes procurement of office stationary and office maintenance.
- Take responsibility for the vehicles and ensure that they are filled with gas on a daily basis and as requested.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly cleaned from the inside and outside.
- Pay bills, as needed, and ensure that the daily office needs are met.
- Accompany field staff on their visits to the field or LWF visitors during their stay in Jordan.
- Organize the NFI or other distributions, as requested by the direct supervisor.
- Directly organize and supervise the distribution of NFIs in communities and immediately alert the supervisor and/or the field manager on any problems that may occur.
- Maintain and update all the information on beneficiary lists and compile distribution reports.
- visit and supervise project sites as required and asked by the supervisor and provide assistance in coordinating the different trainings and workshops
- Inform beneficiaries about the LWF complaints mechanism procedure.
- ensure that all commodites are delivered on time and according to specifications.
- Follow all procedures related to delivery and dispatch of commodities as requested.
- Assist senior logistics officer with asset/inventory list updates.
- Provide weekly reports to the logistic officer of all logistical activities.
- Conduct any other task as requested by the direct supervisor.
Job Requirements
• Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional
area is desirable.
• At least 2 years experience within an INGO in the same position is prefered.
• Good communication skills (oral & written) in English and Arabic.
• Computer skills at operator level especially with MS Office Packages (Excel Sheet).
• Able to work overtime on weekends or holidays as required by the supervisor or programmatic
needs.
Able to work outside Amman most of the time.
• Good teamwork skills and willingness to learn new skills.
• Must be honest, active, well-mannered and healthy.
• Must be polite and co-operative towards office colleagues and other LWF staff
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources.
